A Brief Introduction

Plato was the presiding genius of the Dramas of ideas’ or the intellectual drama in which intellectual discussions on current social problems were dominant. The Dramas of ideas presents Plato not only a theorist of drama but also a dramatist himself. He was who developed a dialogue-based one dramaturgy that differed from the Aristelian view of theatre. Figures such as dramatist are Oscar Wilde, Bernard Shaw, Pirandello, Bercht and Stoppard used Plato to create a new drama ideas.

1. The drama of ideas puts forward a powerful agreement for Plato’s influence on the major European dramatists of the twentieth Century.
