Essay On A VISIT TO A SUPER BAZAR

Introduction

Our Government has opened Super Bazar to supply the essential commodities to everybody at reasonable prices. Of all the fair price shops opened by the Government the super bazars have become very popular.

Need for Super Bazar

This is the age of rapid advancement. After having super stars, Super surf and so many super things, we can have super bazars.

Occasion of visit

A few days back my parents and I happened to come to Delhi on some business. I requested my father to show me the super bazar of Connaught Place. At the same time my elder sister and brother-in-law also joined us. We reached the super bazar at Connaught Place.

Its building

The super bazar is housed in a multi storeyed building. It is situated near Shanker Market. It is one of the most beautiful buildings.

Timings

It is the most prominent shopping centre. It remains open from 10 A.M. to 7 P.M. Almost all the articles of everyday use can be had from this centre.

Our visit to different sections of articles for sale

(a) Cloth Section. First of all we entered the Cloth Section. My father purchased a beautiful saree for my sister, a pant piece for me, a suitcase for my brother-in-law and a shawl for my dear mother. In spite of our humble request, father did not buy anything for himself. Father’s act made me to think of his self sacrificing nature.

(b) Groceries Section. After purchasing these articles we entered Groceries Section. My mother had a list in advance. Dalda, Sugar were displayed there. The price lists indicated clearly the quantity of commodities packed in a huge bag meant for this purpose.

(c) Other Sections. We then, went to another section where electric goods were tastefully displayed. I requested my father to purchase a beautiful table-lamp for me. He at once purchased it with a smile on his face. Then we went to the Stationary Section. I bought a few exercise books and a pen. We then went to the Books Section. My brother-in-law bought Rabindra Nath Tagore’s Gitanjali, Hardy’s The return of Native land and Tess, I bought a copy of David Copperfield. Dicken’s masterpice.

In canteen

We then visited canteen. There we enjoyed some cheese pakoras, sweets and coffee. We chatted there for some-time.

Conclusion

My brother-in-law was highly impressed by the super bazar. We spoke highly of this place, where all the goods can be had under one roof.
