Introduction

I read in the Jain Higher Secondary School. It is not a Government School. It gets aid from the Government. Its Situation and Building. Our school is built in the open. It is far from the dust, noise and smoke of the city. Its building is very grand. It has Verandahs on both sides of class-rooms.

Gardens and Grassy Lawns

Near the gate there are two small gardens which have grassy lawns, flower beds, fruits, trees and a beautiful fountain. We enjoy the sweet-smell of flowers and the dance of beautiful butterflies.

Laboratories and Library

Our School has two science labs and a big library and a reading room. Our library is full of books on all subjects. Every student can borrow books from the library. In the labs we do experiments with the help of teachers.

Teachers

There are about fifty teachers in the school. They are all highly qualified. They all work hard in teaching us. They help us in every way possible. They are our true friends and guides. Our results are the best in the city. All the teachers are very kind towards us. They look after our studies, health and character.

The Principal

The principal of our school is an old hand. He is very particular about discipline. He has won our hearts. He expects punctuality from his teachers and students. He is an ideal for the members of his staff. His morning talks are very impressive. He believes in action. He does not allow students to attend school in dirty clothes. He is a man of character.

He loves ideal life

We are taught honesty, industry and truthfulness by him. Hence we are obedient, well behaved and mannerly. He loves a life of ideals.

Games, Debates and N.C.C.

The best thing in the school is the good arrangement of games, debates and scouting. Everyone of us has to take part in debates and scouting. Every one of us has to take part in debates every Saturday. We have to attend the playground three times a week. I am glad to say that our school team is famous in the district for hockey and cricket. Our scouts get training in band and first aid. There are the two N.C.C. units attached to our school. Every year sixty students get Military Training.

Conclusion

It is the best of all schools. The school is proud of its good students and the students are proud of their good school. I love it very much.

Aid- help, Smoke- soot, Lawns- grassy fields, घास के मैदान | Beds- small divisions of a field, क्यारियाँ । Butterflies- an insect with large wings, Borrow- to take as loan, उधार लेना Guides- advisers, पथ-प्रदर्शक Punctuality- regularity in time, समयनिष्ठता। Impressive- effective, प्रभावपूर्ण । Mannerly- well-behaved.
